    NAMPA, IDAHO. If you are seeking a new job or looking for a career change, the Idaho Job & Career Fair will have over 60 companies to meet for a variety of career opportunities! This free event will be held on Wednesday, May 8th from 10am to 2pm at the Nampa Civic Center.

    Employers and career training centers will be available to network for positions in healthcare, finance, customer service, law enforcement, manufacturing, hospitality, customer service, and more. These employers are seeking to fill full-time and part-time positions, and looking for experienced and first-time job seekers.  Bring plenty of resumes and dress for success!

    The SBA Boise District Office is now accepting applications for the

    2019 SBA Boise Emerging Leaders program

    The SBA Emerging Leaders program provides free entrepreneurship education and training for executives of small, poised-for-growth companies that are potential job creators.

    During the course of seven months, participants are given the opportunity to work with experienced mentors, attend specialized workshops and develop connections with their peers, city leaders, and the financial community.

    Applications for the annual class are accepted in February and classes typically begin in April.

    The Initiative incorporates a curriculum that is research-based and nationally scalable, enabling participating businesses to engage in focused development and expansion strategies, including options for accessing new capital and securing government contracts.

    Government statistics confirm that small businesses are the engines of sustained economic growth and job creation. The SBA launched this Initiative to capitalize on the proven capacity for stimulating jobs and growth.

    What are the key program highlights?

    A three-year strategic growth action plan with benchmarks and performance targets to help the participant emerge as self-sustaining businesses that creates jobs and builds communities.

    Includes more than 100 hours of professional specialized training and peer-to-peer counseling delivered during the course of seven months.

    Specialized areas of training include:

    o   Growth Strategies Plans

    o   Financing and Access to Capital

    o   Government Contracting

    Do you qualify?

    Does your business have annual revenues of at least $250,000 up to $10m?

    Does your company employ at least one person in addition to the owner?

    Have you been in business at least three years?

    The program will run from April to October 2019.  The only cost is your time and commitment to complete the curriculum over the course of seven months. All other costs are covered by SBA and our local partners.

    New Indoor Football Team kicks off season in the Treasure Valley

    Idaho Horseman sign contract with Ford Idaho Center & announce the schedule

    Nampa, Idaho January 22, 2019--The Idaho Horsemen Football Organization - Platinum Events & Security LLC is pleased to announce the kick-off of the team’s inaugural season, with the finalizing of a contract with the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa on January 4.

    “We believe that professional indoor football is needed in the Treasure Valley. Better still, the community has shown the team is wanted—as ticket sales have been growing strong since February 2018,” says Chris Reynolds, team owner.

    The Idaho Horsemen is brought to you by Platinum Events & Security, LLC. Co-owners Chris & Angelina Reynolds envisioned the team as a way to bring affordable, family-friendly entertainment to the Treasure Valley. The couple also sees the Horsemen as a platform for athletes to continue their career while trying to reach the next level of professional sports. In addition, local dancers have an opportunity to showcase their skills through the Lady Spurs dance team.

    The team will play a 12-game schedule, with six home games. The home schedule:

    March 23 versus Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks

    April 7 versus Sacramento Spartans

    April 26 versus Reno Express

    May 11 versus Tri-Cities Fire

    May 30 versus Sacramento Spartans

    June 15 versus Wenatchee valley Skyhawks

    Season Tickets are currently on sale now and Individual Game tickets will go on sale February 15, with tickets starting at just $12.

    The Players

    The Horsemen conducted tryouts in the fall, and the team has

    signed 29 players. Players must report to camp by February 23rd.

    “We are still looking to plug in more key positions to solidify our initial

    roster,” Chris Reynolds says.

    While the Horsemen have many local players on the roster, players are also

    coming from out-of-state.

    “Our Host Family Program was put together to help these guys get settled in

    local homes—and we’d love to see the community welcome them, “says

    Angelina Reynolds. “Host Families will receive season tickets and other

    benefits—so check out our website for more information.”

    We are also interested in finding local businesses that can provide part time

    jobs for the out of state players to help supplement their income. It is

    important for us to provide the best possible experience for the players while

    here in the valley.

    Platinum Ticket Packages

    The Horsemen are currently offering an exclusive ticket package to the first

    1000 fans to kick off the season—with discounts up to 75%. Close to 40

    percent of these tickets are already sold.

    Platinum members receive two passes for 2 years—for only $250.00.

    Two t-shirts, two hot dogs & two beverages prior to each home

    game.

    Access to the players, the dance team, and field prior to each home

    game

    Opportunities for pictures and autographs after every home game.

    The Ford Idaho Center is managed by Spectra by Comcast Spectacor and is

    conveniently located off I-84 in Nampa, Idaho. The campus is home to the

    Ford Arena that holds a capacity of 12,000, the Ford Amphitheater that can

    hold up to 11,000, and the Ford Idaho Horse Park and Sportscenter that has

    a capacity of 2,200, has 518 horse stalls, 44 full hook-up RV spots, 16 partial
